Aurora Cousins

By the way, remember I told you I had one more cousin you haven't met yet? It's Nathaniel, Mia and Jack's older brother. Well, we went to their house the other day because my parents were babysitting. So here's my cousin Nathaniel. He's five and he likes to play Nintendo Game Cube.

Friends

Mama and Papa have been meeting up with lots of friends these days...They know that in just a short while, life as they know it will come to an end, so they're making the most of the time they have now.

It looks like they're having fun now, but just wait until I come along...Then the fun will really begin! Heehee! *hiccup* Drat, my hiccups are back!

*hiccup*

With only five more weeks until my expected arrival, Mama and Papa are getting more and more excited. *hiccup* Mama keeps saying she wonders what I look like. Well, right now I look like a wrinkled prune, but once I get all dry and cleaned up, everyone will get to see what a cutie I am! *hiccup*

I must say, it's nice in here and all, but I'm starting to feel kind of squished. There's hardly any room to do my stretches and turns. *hiccup* The last few days, I think I've been kicking Mama too hard because I heard her say a couple of times, "Ouch! Take it easy in there." *hiccup* Oops, I guess I don't know my own strength. Well, I am getting bigger, you know. *hiccup* At our last appointment, the doctor said he thought I was going to be about 7 to 7 1/2 pounds when I come out. We'll see how good his prediction is. *hiccup*

Excuse me for all my hiccuping. *hiccup* I can't help it. Mama says I get the hiccups once or twice a day. *hiccup*

In other news, last Saturday Mama and I went to see Papa's softball game. We had a lot of fun cheering on Papa. There were a lot of other moms and kids there too cheering for their dads. Anyway, Papa played great! Papa said he's going to teach me to play ball as soon as I'm old enough to hold a bat. I can't wait!

Hey, I think my hiccups are gone! *hiccup* Nope.

Mamas and the Papas

Mama and Papa have some pretty smart nurses teaching their classes. This one nurse said that the baby (me!) can hear voices and see light coming through Mama's skin. She sure is right about that!

I heard Mama and Papa talk to their friends Cynthia and Eujin during LJ and Lois' wedding. Wow, did they ever talk. And then, I heard the sound of another baby... Woah!

It must be the year of the baby. Pretty appropriate since it's my year!

Now, I know that Papa's just trying to help...

Oh Papa...

Fourth of July

Mama's usually not a big meat eater, but all that's changed since I came along. Papa's really glad that Mama now enjoys eating steak and ribs with him. Well, Mama heard that there was this thing called Ribfest going on during the Fourth of July weekend, and immediately she knew where we'd be spending our Fourth of July. Papa was happy to oblige. This is what we ate. Aren't you jealous?

Afterwards, Mama and Papa had a good time enjoying the nice weather and watching fireworks.

Back at home, even the rugrats got into the spirit of Independence Day and got dressed up for the occasion.

A F'ee... A F'ee... A Schmoo...

Mama takes me to the hospital a lot these days.

We're there every other week so Mama's doctor can check up on me. Mama's also been taking me swimming with her in Aqua class. And sometimes, Papa comes along for some special classes. They call it Childbirth Class. It seems like they're learning a lot, but maybe some of the videos gross Mama out a little. I think the best part is when Mama and Papa practice their relaxation breathing. When they breathe through their mouths trying to "blow out a candle," it sounds like "a hee, a hee, a hoo." Papa tried to make Mama laugh today and said "a f'ee, a f'ee, a schmoo". I don't know what's so funny about that... That's what they say everyday at home.

My Shower

Last Saturday, our family and friends came over to Lolo (grandpa) and Lola's (grandma) house for a big ol' party for me. Yup, that's right, it was all about me! My parents really enjoyed spending time and celebrating with everyone. There were lots of kids there too, as you can see. In a few months, I'll get to join 'em. All in all, it was a great party!

Getting the House Ready

Mama and Papa both took some time off of work last week to get the house ready for my arrival. They worked hard organizing, building, moving, cleaning, etc. They say the house is really coming along. They've started working on my room too. They finally got my crib out of the box and Papa did a great job putting it together.

Mama put all my furry friends (no, not the rugrats) on top of my dresser so they can keep me company when I'm in my room by myself and keep the monsters away.
